Falak-ol-aflak castle in Lorestan province postures in the center of Khoram-abad. Original construction of this castle referred to Sasani’s Shapour-the-first in the third century AD and used as a government and military center. It has nearly 5300 m2 area, eight tower, two aprons and 300 shelters and its internal space has divided into 4 large halls, some salons and rooms. Highest wall to the hill’s level is 23m. Building materials such as stone, brick, adobe and plaster and lime mortar had used in this construction. Its major features includes standing on rocky cliffs, its dominance on historical Khoram-abad valley and flowing Golestan fountain from northern slope.
